I have got some baby snakes and need to go away for 3 days. They have got water in mineral water caps that I refill every day. However if I go away for 3 days and they topple their cup, they might remain 3 days without drinking. Can they have it or should I have them boarding?

When are you going away? I'd suggest buying something a little heavier to put their water in, like a tea candle holder or one of those little food bowls people use for hamsters/gerbils. These can still be toppled, but not as easily as a bottle lid. How often do your snakes knock them over? Personally I wouldn't recommend leaving them without water for that long, to be honest I don't know how long they really can go without it, but I wouldn't want to risk it. Is there not a friend or relative who could check on them for you every day?

hi mate, tbh i think 3 days would be fine if the water was messed, but to be safe why not put somethng heavier in so its not that easy to topple as said above,i use little plastic plant pot bottoms for my small snakes and have never had an issue.if something does happen though im sure the snakes will be fine, they dont have water available every day in the wild, nor have i seen any of my snakes drink everyday(this doesnt mean they dont, just never seen it).

I would actually say, pay for boarding. Being without water for too long can seriously damage a hatchling and I wouldn't chance it. So for peace of mind and your cornsnake's health - pay for boarding. Hatchlings are too fragile to leave for 3 days!
